Focus on the Business Need
There are two ways to approach a technical problem.
The first is the pure developer perspective. It's about being a craftsman. Making sure metrics are in order, technical debt is not growing, security is not broken, tests are passing. If you think in these terms, you are a professional and a good developer.
But if you want to get hired — and in general, if you want to progress at any company — you need to be aware of the second perspective. You need to see the problem as a business sees it. And you need to show the interviewer that you think this way.
